Dedicated to the memory of Maggie

In loving memory of Maggie Mooney, a wife, mother, daughter, sister and yaya (grandmother).

Eleven years ago, Maggie was struck with an unknown liver disease which led to her needing a liver transplant in order to save her life. Sadly, after eleven rocky years where Maggie continuously battled with her health, Maggie's liver began to fail again.

After spending three months in Addenbrookes hospitial Maggie faced a number of infections that lead to two separate stays in ICU along with many other complications. Unfortunately, after the bravest battle you could ever imagine, Maggie sadly passed away on 20th November 2022 with her family by her side.

We have created this page as a place for people to pay tribute to Maggie, as well as leave donations to a charity that she worked tirelessly to raise money for, Addenbrookes Charitable Trust (ACT).

Maggie is one of ACT’s top fundraisers, raising over £90,000 since her liver transplant in 2011. Maggie organised a charity ball every year following her operation; the first one just a few months after she came out of hospital. In 2021 she was a Pride of Britain nominee, reaching the finals for her incredible fundraising efforts.
